Encik Zulkefly bin Baharuddin was appointed to the Board of EPMB on 1 April 2016. He had his tertiary education at University of Technology
Malaysia with a Bachelor of Mechanical (Aeronautical) Engineering and has 26 years of experience in the automotive industry. He began his career at
Ford Malaysia Sdn Bhd as a Local Content Engineer prior to his appointment as a Product Engineer at Delphi Automotive Systems Malaysia, a
wholly-owned subsidiary of Delphi Saginaw Steering Systems, Michigan, USA. He was attached to Delphi Saginaw in Michigan for a period of 2 years for
the development of steering systems for ASEAN markets.
Encik Zulkefly then joined Autoliv Hirotako Sdn Bhd, a joint venture company with Autoliv Inc., Sweden as Product Development Manager where he
successfully developed the first airbag system and steering system for Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) in Malaysia. His vast experience was
dealt with Autoliv group of companies worldwide including Europe, Australia and Asian countries.
Encik Zulkefly joined EPMB Group in 2002 as a Senior Manager - Business and Development. In his early years with EPMB, Encik Zulkefly was
involved with Robert Bosch GmbH, an EPMB Technical Assistance (TA) partner for the development of Intake Air Fuel Module and Engine Management
System where he successfully achieved technology and development know-how transfer, as well as introduced advance production methodology for
complex automotive products. With his vast amount of experience and his drive to ensure continuous success for EPMB, he was promoted to Director-
Business & Development in 2005.
Over his career, Encik Zulkefly has gained valuable exposure in various automotive settings, not limited to business and development, consequently,
exposures in manufacturing operations with companies internationally. Aside from Delphi Saginaw, Autoliv and Robert Bosch, he has led the development
of metal stamping and modular products with Korean and Japanese OEMs suppliers. Subsequently, Encik Zulkefly has then led the arrangement for TA
and Joint Venture collaboration with Japanese Tier-1 suppliers to incorporate latest technology in its manufacturing facilities to expand EPMB customer
base to non-national car makers.
After 14 years of valuable experience and achievements within EPMB, with effect from 1 April 2016, Encik Zulkefly was promoted to Deputy Executive
Chairman of EPMB and is in charge of overseeing the whole spectrum of EPMB's overall businesses and manufacturing operations tocontinuously lead
EPMB to greater and successful heights. |
